Butterflies

The butterfly counts not months but moments, and has time enough. ~Rabindranath Tagore

 She started like this ~ five butterflies

handcut, embossed and hung together.

My vision {my muse} thought swags of chains and gemstones galore.

 But after adding the chain, everything else I added just didn't feel right.

She sat on my desk waiting,

I'd add something,

remove it,

add something else,

remove it.

Until a pair of beautiful white opals arrived in my studio.

 The settings were made and adding into the design

 and here she is 

A Moment in Time 

The chain is finished with a toggle clasp which, rather cleverly, can be closed at the last link,

for a longer look, but for that day when your neckline is higher or lower {depending on how you wear your clothes} the toggle can be moved into the next link.
